So start listening to them. Notice that guy downtown taking pictures of that abandoned picnic. To us, it’s just a location, but through his lens he can make us feel an emotion we were unaware of. Listen to the buskers outside your favorite comic shop or in the subway. Their voices could stick with you for weeks. Don’t pass by the new art gallery of young artists. Inside, there might be an exciting new illustrator, animator, or designer. If your friend wants you to come see her play, then go. She might be the next Oscar winner for Best Actress. But you’ll never know unless you pay attention.
The beauty in this is that a famous actor even knows this, and recognizes the fact that it’s fucked up.
